I have neglected my blog. Some how, I knew in my gut that I would do this just because I know how busy life can be. So, here I am at the beginning of 2015, a new year, with new opportunities for reselling and just maybe, more blogging?
I am slowly getting items listed because somehow putting Christmas decorations away can suck the time and energy out of my day. Decorations are now put away and I am ready to get into listing. Saturday, I stopped into my local thrift store called, "Texas Thrift". The shelves were stocked up and stuffed full. I had a blast digging through just to see what hidden treasures are there for me. There are TONS of Valentines Plush. TONS. I can see on Ebay, that the very large bears do well, so if you find one and are up to shipping that monster, it could be a good sale. The items that caught my eye were some stamps in bags called "Stampin Up". These can be great sellers in large lots and if you find certain stamps. I didn't think that the ones I found were worth picking up with the price the store wanted. I also found some vintage Canasta Playing Cards for 99 cents. The brand of cards is called "Congress" Some of this brand of cards can bring in some great money, so keep your eyes peeled for these. Some are trimmed in gold that do quite well. Hmm? Want to find a set like that.
What I ended up picking up was an adorable "Princess and the Pea" Doll Set. The thrift store wanted $9.98 for it, but I had a 30% off coupon from donating items. My research showed me that the Doll Set brings in any where from $50.00-$80.00. This set is used, so it might be towards the lower end of that price.
I also have a Vintage Eden Paddington Bear up for sale. With the new Paddington Movie out, The bear has gotten to be a "Hot" item". I priced him high with a best offer, so we will see what happens with him. Paddington was found at my local Goodwill Outlet several months back. He was sitting on the very top of the Bins, begging to come home with me. Hope he finds his forever home.
